Lake Formosa Neighborhood Association: Light pollution, lake cleanup, business openings

The Lake Formosa Neighborhood Association’s focus is currently on light pollution complaints from residents about newly installed street lighting along Alden Road at The Yard property. We continue to work with The Yard owners and the City to come up with a solution to mitigate the negative effects.

Here’s an update on our lake cleanup:

On March 13, through a partnership with Friends of Loch Haven Chain of Lakes, the City of Orlando and Central Florida Recon, we had 30 volunteers collect 600 pounds of trash from Lakes Formosa, Rowena, and Estelle.

We are excited to learn that longtime bar and eatery Gnarly Barley will be relocating to the area in the space formerly occupied by Sette.

We also look forward to Foxtail Coffee opening at The Yard in May.
