The holiday season means giving back to the community we love, and Monarch Learning Academy students from kindergarten all the way through middle school found ways to lend a hand through Monarch Serves.
Monarch seventh graders had the privilege of meeting with Senator Rubio’s office to advocate on behalf of those experiencing food insecurity, and our fifth graders volunteered one afternoon at Second Harvest Food Bank.
Monarch kindergartners scrubbed shoes for Soles for Souls, an organization that provides gently used shoes to people around the world with limited access to something that is so often taken for granted.
One of our favorite organizations to partner with to make a big impact right here in our community is One Heart for Women and Children, which is helping many of our neighbors this holiday season. Monarch has been collecting food for their food drive to help provide dinners for 200 families, and the school is also collecting Christmas gifts for families who need some assistance with presents.
